Unbound Academy is creating a fully virtual, tuition-free charter school that replaces traditional worksheets with experiential learning and prioritizes personal development. Students complete their academic work in two concentrated hours using AI-driven tools. The remainder of their day is spent on something just as important: immersive workshops designed to build life skills, curiosity, and self-assurance.
You won't be tasked with delivering scripted content or managing a virtual classroom environment. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that encourage students to engage with ambitious ideas through storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness, and other disciplines. Your role is to coach them toward independence, support their personal development, and equip them with the capabilities that matter most beyond the classroom.
This position isn't suited for those attached to conventional schooling models. It's designed for Arizona-certified teachers prepared to work remotely, teach innovatively, and support young learners in ways that genuinely prepare them for real-world challenges. What You Will Be Doing - Facilitating interactive, virtual workshops centered on life skills such as creativity, communication, and problem-solving
- Providing one-on-one and small-group mentorship to strengthen confidence, self-direction, and executive functioning
- Leveraging platform data to customize support and monitor student progress longitudinally
- Working alongside fellow educators to design and refine project-based learning opportunities
- Cultivating a safe, high-energy environment where students feel valued, heard, and motivated to develop
What You Won’t Be Doing - Teaching foundational academics—AI tutors manage that component
- Presenting scripted lectures or upholding a traditional classroom structure
- Grading assignments or preparing standardized lesson plans
Student Success Coach Key Responsibilities Advance student development and life readiness by facilitating transformative, real-world learning experiences within a flexible, fully virtual school environment.
Basic Requirements - Valid US teaching certificate from any state
- Experience in teaching, mentoring, or coaching students (Grades 4–8 preferred)
- Strong virtual presence; confident leading sessions via video
- Available for full-time work (M–F, 8am–5pm Arizona time)
- Able to start within 2-3 weeks
- Enthusiastic about working in a tech-forward, student-centered educational setting

Working with us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $30 USD/hour, which equates to $60,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
